One day something just clicked, I decided to go from working for a large company for whom i'd worked for years with job security, to going it alone. I never thought it would be easy but I also never realised just how much it would revive the passion for my career that had been ebbing away.
Until you have a small business you never really realise just how important each and every customer is to you and the success of your dream. The little stresses that weren't important before suddenly become massively impacting moments, a last minute cancellation or no show could impact your entire months wage - don't get me wrong, I forget stuff all the time and of course am forgiving to those who seem to suffer the same forgetfulness as myself :)
I would just like to say a massive thank you to all of my customers, friends and family, thank you for the little catch ups and check ins that keep me sane (I feel like sometimes I may start barking instead of talking), thank you for the reviews and recommendations (keep those up- you're helping me to build my empire ;P) but mainly thank you for the ongoing support that really does make me do little but awful dances with sheer joy, at how my small (currently expanding) salon is really my dreams in the making. My business wouldn't be where it is without you guys (don't take all the credit though, it is me who has to pick dog hair out my socks each night after all :p)
My other massive thank you has to go to the wonderful family that own and run Alderminster kennels and cattery (Be sure to take your pets there if you're off on holiday), part of the reason my business has been so successful is thanks to their continued help and support. So thank you guys :)
